Johnny Depp Urges Fans To ‘Remain Cautious’ Of His ‘Relentless Fake Accounts’ On Social Media: ‘He Is Not On Twitter’
Johnny Depp has a massive fan following and handling such a huge number can be a task. The actor recently made an announcement about "relentless" fake accounts on social media that pretend to be him.

The 59-year-old actor reassured his fans that his team is trying their best to combat this problem while he explicitly stated his official social media accounts on all platforms.


The latest development comes following the conclusion of the defamation trial between him and his former wife Amber Heard. The jury announced the verdict in favour of Johnny Depp and found the Washington Post op-ed written by Heard defamatory towards Depp.

"I've been made aware that there are fake accounts pretending to be me or people working with me. I do not have any private or side accounts on any platform. These are the only pages run by me and my team where we share updates and communicate: INSTAGRAM @johnnydepp TIKTOK @johnnydepp FACEBOOK @johnnydepp DISCORD @johnnydepp0854," Depp posted on his Instagram story.



"I ask that you remain cautious as it seems these fake accounts can be relentless. My team is working to combat the problem. Thank you for your continuous support and for making me aware of this, Love and Respect! JD," he concluded. 

One user wrote, "Johnny Depp is sending an important message to be vigilant and careful of fake accounts. Especially, Johnny Depp is not on Twitter." Another said, "Please be advised Johnny Depp does not have a Twitter account. Mr. Depp's been advised of the 'fake' accounts using his name on multiple social media platforms & has via his verified Instagram account posted this. PSA: Please report / block all 'fake' accounts." 

A third added, "Johnny Depp through his story today. In short, he talks about that he does not have any other private account except the one that everyone knows and everyone should beware of those who create fake accounts in his name."
